SEW... DID YOU KNOW?
Leather needs love! Dirt, grease, and grime gets trapped in the pores of the leather and will aid in breaking that leather down! You should always keep your leather cleaned and oiled, but definitely condition it about twice a year! Those of you in hot, dry climates (Looking at you, Arizona!), should be conditioning three or four times a year!
Call or text today to get that leather taken care of and ready for riding season! If you're too far away, contact us for some recommended products WE rely on! Your leather will love you for it!
SEW...DID YOU KNOW?
Today we're talking LEATHER GRADES!
The leather grades are not only about the quality of the leather, but also how they are treated/manufactured! Be very careful when picking your leather goods! Free advice: steer very clear of "bonded" leather! It is often comprised of poly blends and contains very little actual leather!
Got a project that needs a little something more? Let us help! Give us a call/text and see how we can help!

SEW... What's with the tomato pin cushion?
Well... During the Tudor Era, it was believed that placing a tomato on the mantel of a new home guaranteed prosperity and repelled evil spirits!
Naturally, the fruit didn't last long. So families started to make these fruits out of cloth, stuffing them with sand or saw dust! Eventually those cushions became home to the pins and needles needed for the home! And the Tomato Pincushion was born!
The attached strawberry (or pepper in some variations) was added some time during the Victorian era, and is actually filled with emery powder for sharpening the needles and/or pins!
SEW... DID YOU KNOW?
Yes, you can clean leather!
Full grain leather:
✅ Damp cloth, soap and warm water, leather conditioner.
Split leather (suede):
✅ Keep it dry and out of direct sun as much as possible. Use a water-repellent product and condition it with a split-leather (suede) conditioner.
Faux leather:
✅ Use a soft cloth and warm soapy water, use a faux leather cleaner to remove spots, and use baby oil, coconut oil, olive oil, and a soft cloth.
